The El Paso County Department of Health and Environment investigates complaints related to:
- Retail food establishments,
- Onsite wastewater (septic) systems,
- Body art establishments,
- Mobile home parks,
- Non-community (small) public water systems,
- Schools (K-12),
- Child care centers,
- Public swimming pools and swimming areas, and
- Outdoor air quality.
The Health Department does not investigate housing problems or problems that are aesthetic in nature and do not represent a threat to the public health.
