• We work to address many health issues affecting children in El Paso County.
• Our emphasis is on improving health and safety in child care settings and preventing child abuse. 

About Child Health Promotion

• Primary goals include working to assure that children have healthy, safe and nurturing environments.
• Program activities include:
  • Health and safety inspections of licensed child care facilities
  • Committee partnerships and collaborations focused on the well-being of children
  • Community education and prevention of child abuse, positive parenting, health and safety and children's health advocacy
  • Child Health Liaison Program, which mentors staff at licensed child care facilities on how to protect and improve children's health and safety
