We work to address many health issues affecting children in El Paso County.
Our emphasis is on improving health and safety in child care settings and preventing child abuse.
About Child Health Promotion
Primary goals include working to assure that children have healthy, safe and nurturing environments.
Program activities include:
Health and safety inspections of licensed child care facilities
Committee partnerships and collaborations focused on the well-being of children
Community education and prevention of child abuse, positive parenting, health and safety and children's health advocacy
Child Health Liaison Program, which mentors staff at licensed child care facilities on how to protect and improve children's health and safety
