How We Protect You

  • We provide education about emerging public health threats such as a possible flu pandemic.
  • We provide credible information to help you prepare to protect yourself and your family in an emergency.
  • We work to ensure that the Health Department's employees and staff are prepared to respond to pandemics, acts of terrorism and other emergencies that threaten public health.
  • We work closely and train with first-responder agencies and other partners to be better prepared to protect the public.
  • We provide emergency preparedness planning, training, exercises and epidemiology to a five-county region in Colorado.
