Disaster/Emergency Preparedness and Response

We provide education about emerging public health threats and credible information to help prepare and protect the public in the event of an emergency. We prepare to respond to pandemics, acts of terrorism and other emergencies that threaten public health. In order to do this, Public Health trains with first-responder agencies and other partners to be better prepared to protect the public. We also provide emergency preparedness planning, training, exercises and epidemiology to a five-county region in Colorado.
