Mako COVID-19 community-based testing site at Citadel Mall to relocate to Colorado Springs Event Center on Dec. 6

El Paso County, CO – On Dec. 6, the Mako COVID-19 community-based testing site located at the Citadel Mall will relocate to Colorado Springs Event Center Parking Lot, located at 3960 Palmer Park Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO, 80909. 

The Citadel Mall COVID-19 testing site first opened in August 2020 as the first of several community-based sites, with the goal of providing El Paso County residents with easy, convenient, and free access to COVID-19 tests. In the time since the site opened, nearly 262,000 tests have been administered to community members.

In addition to the community-based site, free rapid at-home COVID-19 tests are available at all three El Paso County Public Health locations by visiting the public health reception desk: 

  • Citizens Service Center, 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Rd. Suite 2044, Colorado Springs, CO 80907, Second Floor Reception Desk. 
  • El Paso County Public Health South, 6436 U.S. Highway 85-87, Fountain, CO, 80817, Reception Desk. 
  • Valley Hi Public Health location, 2948 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO, 80910, Reception Desk.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has information about testing resources throughout Colorado, including free rapid tests and pharmacies with low or no-cost testing options.
