Appointments for Adults, Children and Families

Within El Paso County Public Health (EPCPH), several services and programs require appointments depending on your need. The menu will take you to the service area that you need and that webpage will contain important information to help guide you.

Birth & Death Records

EPCPH Vital Records provides certified copies of birth and death records for vital events that occurred in Colorado. Order your certificate by online, by mail or in-person.

Adult and Child Immunizations

We offer low-cost vaccines for uninsured and underinsured children and adults. We accept Medicaid and most insurances. Our expert staff provides up-to-date information and counseling about immunizations for children (birth-18 years) and adults.

Care Coordination

Provides individualized assistance in helping to connect to community resources for those who may have difficulty seeking access to food, transportation, childcare, housing, behavioral health, COVID-19 resources, and more.

International Travel Clinic

EPCPH nurses are trained in providing the most up to date travel information. As a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine, we are able to provide accurate information to promote safe travel.

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP)

Public Health nurses provide home visits that improve the health, well-being and self-sufficiency of first-time parents and their children in El Paso and Teller counties. Home visits begin during pregnancy and continue until their child is 2 years old.

Reproductive Health Clinic

EPCPH provides the following services through our clinic:

  • Pregnancy testing and counseling
  • Comprehensive birth control options
  • Education, exams, and treatment for STIs such as syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia. Testing and referral available for HIV.
  • Exams for women, including Pap test, pelvic and breast exams
  • Exams for men (for reproductive health)
  • Gardasil HPV vaccine to prevent certain forms of cancer and genital warts

Tuberculosis (TB)

The Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic at Public Health works to prevent and control the spread of tuberculosis in El Paso County through targeted testing and education. We provide accurate information about tuberculosis in addition to the following services:

  • We offer the TB interferon gamma release assay (IGRA) blood test in the form of Quanitiferon-TB Gold (QFT) with a physician’s order.
  • We medically evaluate and treat people who have tuberculosis.
  • We medically evaluate people who have been in contact with others who have/had tuberculosis.

Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

El Paso County Public Health’s WIC (Women Infants and Children) is here for you with supplemental food assistance, information on healthy eating, breastfeeding support and community referrals. WIC is funded through a federal grant. It supports eligible pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. Any caregiver can apply for WIC on behalf of eligible children. We are currently serving clients and taking new referrals. Please call 719-578-3199, Option 6 to make an appointment.
