Federal Government Shutdown 2025
The federal government shutdown may impact funding for many federally-funded programs, including Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. We are providing updates on WIC funding for residents.
The El Paso County Public Health (EPCPH) WIC program will remain open during the month of October. Clients are encouraged to attend regular appointments. Supplemental food assistance (eWIC), including formula, will be available for the month of October.
If the federal shutdown continues into November, funding for EPCPH WIC operations and supplemental food benefits is uncertain. Colorado WIC will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed here: www.coloradowic.gov/alerts.
